When deciding whether to live in Golden Harvest 2, the following points should be considered:
Please contact the office at least every six months to confirm your desire to remain on the waiting list. It is your responsibility to notify us of any changes, so that we can contact you when a unit becomes available.

Commissions
Shares are sold at the price agreed between the buyer and seller.
A commission on the selling price is payable by the seller.
Levy
There is a monthly levy charged. This excludes electricity and a small restaurant levy. Monthly levies cover all maintenance and insurance of the exterior of the cottage, but the interior maintenance is the owner’s responsibility. Special levies may be necessary from time to time, however we have not had one since 2012.
Meal Coupons
A small restaurant/meal levy entitles residents to 4 meals per month at the Harvest Inn. May be redeemed for meals consumed in the restaurant or delivered to the cottage.
Minibus service
Operates three times a week. Book at the office the day before.
Electricity & Water
Water – No charge – included in levy
Electricity – each cottage is charged individually for metered consumption
Library
Situated next to the office. Self-service, instructions available in the library.
Launderette
Washing machine and dryer available. Purchase coupons at the office.
Hairdresser
Tuesday to Friday, mornings only. Salon situated in Care Centre.
Gardens
Gordon’s Garden Service is responsible for mowing all lawns and maintenance of the communal gardens from 08:00 to 16:00 daily. Residents are responsible for their own flower bed areas.
Domestics
No cleaning service is provided. You may employ your own domestic worker. Registration of the worker is required at the office by supplying identity documents and a photograph.
Recreational facilities
Situated over the road – Keys for all facilities are held by the security guard at the main entrance. Please visit the Amenities Page for more info.
Entertainment
Regular social events are organised in the Village – watch the notice boards & newsletter.

Weekly menus are posted on the notice boards. Special events can be arranged with the restaurant manager. No drinks are supplied on the premises – patrons are requested to supply their own.

Sick Bay, Mid-Care and Frail Care available. Doctor on duty every Thursday morning. Every shareholder is entitled to 10 days per annum Sick Bay care, free of charge. However, all meals are chargeable. Panic buttons, connected to an alarm system in the Care Centre, are available from the office at a nominal charge.
Internet Fibre Connectivity
The whole village has fibre connectivity to the Internet via the service provider of the owner’s choice. A connection charge is required if the cottage has not been connected. This charge can be refunded by the Internet Service Provider.
DSTV
Optional – 3 different options arranged through the Village
The Village receives preferential rates from Multichoice. If the service is required, one must register at the office. Full Premium Option is to be arranged by the shareholder with Multichoice.
